Quick Disclaimer: These shortcuts might not work for Mac, but TechDino will be making a post for Mac shortcuts if you are on Mac.

  1. How to open an accidentally closed tab. If you have a tab open, for example, this website, and you close it, you can reopen that tab in your browser using Ctrl + Shift + T. This will only work if it is the last tab you closed. If you keep doing Control + Shift + T, you can reopen the last closed tab, then the one before, and then the one before that, and so on.

  2. How to undo and redo things on many websites and apps. If you are on Google Slides or something, and you mess up something, you can click Ctrl + Z to undo it. Also, if you accidentally undo something, you can redo it by using Ctrl + Y.

  3. How to go back on a site. If you click something on a site, and want to go back, you can do Alt + Left Arrow, or on most browsers, the left arrow near the top. If you clicked Alt + Left arrow, and want to go back to where you just came back from (confusing, right?), you can do Alt + Right Arrow, or the right arrow in your browser.

4. How to add a new tab. If you want to search something up, click Ctrl + T in your browser. This will add a new tab where you can search things up. You can delete tabs with Ctrl + W.

5. How to add a new window. Windows are different from tabs. Windows are groups of tabs all together, so sometimes you want to stay organized by adding a new window. If you want to add a browser window, you could use ctrl + n, remember it as n for new. To add a private window, use ctrl + shift + n. to close an entire window at the same time, use ctrl + shift + w, you can remember this as how to close tabs, except with an added shift, to make it close a whole window.

6. How to switch between windows. If you have multiple windows (doesn't only have to be browser windows, it can be any windows) open, you can switch between them with alt + tab.

7. How to switch between tabs. On most browsers, you can use ctrl + tab to go to the tab to the right. To go backwards, use ctrl + shift + tab.

8. How to zoom in on most browsers. If you want to see something up close in the browser, use ctrl and +. I mean plus as clicking plus, not as and. If you want to zoom back out, use ctrl and - to go back out.

9. How to copy and paste text. If you need to copy and paste text, highlight it, and click Ctrl + C. Then, when you want to paste it, click in the right text box, and use Ctrl + V. If you want to paste something as plain text, use Ctrl + Shift + V.
